Today, I made the lid for my teapot. I tried to make the spout, but it broke.

First, I glazed my wheel altered project. Also, one of my vases came out of the glaze. I tried to do a complex glaze because of the simple project, but it didnt turn out so well. I made two plates, and footed both of them. I am in the process of making a teapot. I made the vase and tried making the lid, but I had trouble. I'll try again tomorrow. Also, one of my bowls came off the glaze shelf. It is glazed in dark green and turned out very nicely.

I footed my bowl. Im really happy with how it turned out. Also, two of my bowls and my plate came out of the glaze. Im really happy with how they all turned out. I finished glazing my vases and they are out of the glaze. On of my vases that I glazed with purple in the cracks and clear turned out with blue in the cracks. The other vase is glazed turquoise and mystery, which turned out really pretty.

Today, I threw a bowl. It was the first day in a while that there were no problems while I pulled up. Its the biggest project Ive made on the wheel. Also, I glazed one of my bowls. First, I dipped it half way in the tomato red. Then I dipped the rest and a little part of the red in sand. I glazed my vase too. I glazed the inside and a bit of the lip in turquoise and I want to dip the outside in mystery.

On Friday, I footed my vase, however it was too hard to alter, so I made a design at the base of the project. Also, my wide bowl came out of the glaze. On Monday, I glazed my plate for my set of three. Today, I glazed my bowl for my set of three and made my wheel altered project. It is a relatively wide vase, and I squished the sides together to make it a squared vase.

Today, I threw this project. Im thinking about making it my wheel-altered project. I want to flatten the sides, so its rounded and flat. I might not keep it.

Today, I glazed my second bowl. I dipped it in sand, then dipped the lip in the new turquoise. Im excited about the bright new colors. Also, I threw a really neat vase. Unfortunately, the sides got cracks in them. Hopefully I can figure out what Im doing wrong.

Today, my pitcher came out of the glaze kiln. I put the clear on too thick, so it "crawled", leaving unglazed spots on the project. I like how the colors turned out, though. I, also, threw a tall project. It has a small belly and a small lip. I've been having issues with my projects lately. They get little cracks on the side. I think I'm not wedging them enough. So, at the end of class, I wedged some bagged clay, so that it will be ready to throw tomorrow. Hopefully that will help.

On October 1, I finished glazing my pitcher. The inside and a little bit of the outside rim is shadow green and I dipped the rest in a clear glaze. Also, I put my 3rd bowl and my plate in the bisque. I also footed my 4th bowl and my cylinder.
