This is a small bowl. The lip is flared on the top. It has a round body. The texture is smooth to touch. The bowl is dipped all in the scrap glaze, which came out as a very nice blue (with some hints of teal). The glaze and shape of the project show simplicity.

This is a 6" by 4" vase. It has a round belly. The lip is slightly flared. The project is smooth all around. Using green stain, the lip and base are lined around the project. On the body of the project, green swirls are stained all over. Some are darker than others. The whole project was then glazed in clear. The different shades of green create depth in the project.

This is a medium sized bowl. The lip is flared out at the top. The bowl is rounded in the middle and the foot flares out a bit at the base as well. The bowl is smooth all around. Using blue stain, I painted roses all around the outside of the project. Some even overlap. The rest of the project is dipped in clear. The overlapping of the roses creates dimension in the project. It appears that some are farther back, while others are more forward.

This is my set of three, consisting of a small pitcher, a cup, and a dish. All three have a smooth texture. The dish has throwing marks around the inner walls. The pitcher has leaves stained as if they were pouring out of it and one leaf stained at the bottom of the handle. The dish has two leaves stained in the center and the throwing marks are stained as well. The cup has a vine stained from the top of the handle, around the cup to the base of the handle with small leaves coming off the vine. All projects were dipped in clear after being stained. The leaves and similar staining on each project connects all three together in a set. The three

This is a small, oblong shaped bowl. While throwing, the project formed this oblong shape, which I happened to like. It has a smooth texture. Half is dipped in matte turquoise. The other half is dipped in cobalt blue. The blue and turquoise mix together in the middle where they overlap, creating a dark almost black color. The shiny cobalt blue and the matte turquoise show juxtaposition in the project. The mixing in the middle of the glazes

This is a small bowl. It is flared out at the lip. A chemical solution was painted on the outside of the project and then the walls were pulled out slightly to create the cracks on the outside. The whole project was dipped in clear. It was a little thick, so it crawled on the the project. The cracks add interest to the simple shape of the project.

This is a small bowl. Its lip is slightly flared at the top. It has a smooth texture. Cobalt blue stain was used to paint a spiral from the base to the lip on the outside and down from the lip to the center of the project on the inside. In the center, there is a small flower. The whole project was then dipped in clear. The simplicity of the project is complemented by the complexity of the glaze.
