This is a small bowl. The lip flares out quite a bit. The shape is less round than most bowls. One third of the bowl is dipped in cobalt blue, the other two thirds is dipped in sand. The sand was pretty clumpy, so it ended up showing more on the lip of the bowl and along part of the outside. The glaze shows the bowl's shape.

This is a small bowl. It has a slightly flared lip. It is not at round as most bowls, like one would expect. Instead, it was just pulled out a little as it was pulled up. The whole project was dipped in celedon green. The simple glaze accents the bowl's simple shape.

This is a vase. It is fairly short and wide. It is very bubble like in the body shape. The lip is slightly flared. The project was dipped in blue and held upsidedown to drip the glaze that direction. The rest of the project is dipped in clear. The blue glaze dripping in the opposite direction gives off an illusion effect. The glaze looks as if it is defying gravity.

This is a small plate. It has a rounded lip. The plate was stained and then dipped in clear. Green and blue stain were used to write and draw on the plate. The picture is of another ceramics student, who the plate was made for. The drawing and name give the plate a personal touch. Many artists use glazes or drawing on a project to personalize it.

This is a small bowl. It is pretty shallow and rounded to give it the bowl shape. The lip is slightly flared out. The lip is dipped in light blue. The rest of the bowl is covered in clear. The light blue glaze gives definition to the lip. It is a fairly simple bowl and glaze combination.
